I am SO excited!! Finally got kaiser to cover the meds. I will take my first dose tommorrow morning.! Of course the doctor didnt prescribe needles with it AND the pharmacy didnt know what went with it. I said, I think I am supposed to have needles, I dont think they want me to use the same needle for 60 injections, and they had to DISCUSS, sheesh. any hoo, I have what they THINK are the correct needles. I will find out tommorrow.

I didn't wait long enough. There are, indeed, snowflakes. Blue, but still falling.

Hey y'all,

Has anyone been successful with this? We applied to the PPA for Byetta and for another drug that was not available as a generic. Since my daughter's insurance doesn't pay for ANY injectables and the Byetta is mucho dinero without insurance, Amylin suggested that the PPA could help. The PPA people called her insurance plan, who verified that yes, she does have drug coverage, although really only for generic stuff, but did not clarify that they don't cover Byetta at all so she was denied by PPA. They said that she can appeal it so we will try that. Since the insurance has already told them she has "drug coverage" it just adds a lot of time to the process. I only pay $10 for mine so I have been subsidizing her Byetta purchase in the meantime. UGH!!
